O terrível incêndio na noite de ontem, em Ribeirão Preto, que fotografei, tem características de queimada de cana-de-açúcar: chamas dramáticas causando uma enorme coluna de fumaça no céu em um espetáculo que dura poucos minutos (note que, na última foto, acima, já não se via as labaredas) e causa um temível impacto ambiental e social.
E, ainda, havia um segundo foco, menor, ocorrendo ao mesmo tempo, cujas fotos estão abaixo.
The terrible fire that occured last night in Ribeirão Preto, which I photographed, has characteristics of burning of sugar cane straw: dramatic flames causing a huge column of smoke into the sky on a show that lasts a few minutes (note that in the last picture above, It's not possible to see the flames anymore) and causes terrible environmental and social impacts.
And yet, there was a second fire, minor, occurring at the same time. Photos, below.
