Março é mês das mulheres?!? Definitivamente, detesto esse rótulo.

As mulheres sofrem preconceito (sexual, econômico, social) de março a março, há séculos, em todo o mundo (exceto, talvez, no Canadá). Isso não se comemora com flores e palestras e aulas grátis de ginástica funcional ou de yoga. Preconceito não se comemora. O dia das mulheres deve ser um dia de luto até que a igualdade de gêneros seja real e absoluta.

Sob protesto, neste blog, transformo março em MÊS DE ITUVERAVA, já que o dia 10 é aniversário dessa impressionante cidade do interior paulista.

Então eu digo: bão procê!


Is March the women's month?!?

Definitely not! I hate that label with all my heart.


Women suffer prejudice (sexual, economic, social) from March to March, for centuries, throughout the world (except perhaps in Canada). This must not be celebrated with flowers and free lectures and classes of functional fitness or yoga. Prejudice is not to be celebrated. Women's Month (or day) should not be a day of mourning until the day when gender equality weel be real and absolute.

Under protest, at this blog, March will be transformed in ITUVERAVA'S MONTH, as the anniversary of that thriving city of São Paulo State is celebrated on March 10th.

So I say: good for you!
