Vocês preferem as queimadas como monotemática? Ora, pelo menos fiquem felizes por mim, que posso respirar ar puro, finalmente, agora que as chuvas voltaram a cair, diminuindo o efeito deletério das queimadas remanescentes (na maioria das fazendas, os pés de cana-de-açúcar, por enquanto, estão só crescendo de novo no campo).
Desta vez, assisti à palestra do Ze Frank ("Ze Frank’s web playroom", no http://www.ted.com/talks/ze_frank_s_web_playroom.html)
Daria pra dizer que esse cara é uma agitador do mundo virtual, inventando projetos abertos à contribuição dos navegadores do ciber-espaço.
Nessa sua palestra, Ze Frank fala sobre como submergimos no mundo virtual, vivenciando-o (alheios a tudo mais, sorrindo diante da mensagem no celular). Tá, assumo que foi aí que ele me pegou.
Ele diz que o que a gente quer é só ‘Sentir e ser sentido’. Para ele, as pessoas buscam a conexão com outras, apesar disso não ser fácil de se obter realmente. Essa conexão, muitas vezes, acontecerão nos ambientes virtuais, como ele demonstra nos vários projetos que vai apresentando.
O último deles é uma música criada para dar razão de ser a um coral virtual formado pelas vozes dos voluntários de seus projetos malucos. Se aquilo faz alguém se sentir melhor, tudo bem, que continuem pra sempre. Bonitinho, mas pouco efetivo.
Pra mim, funciona muito melhor outro tipo de projeto, como o incrível PLAYING FOR CHANGE – Connecting the world through music.
Trata-se de um projeto musical (sobre o qual foi feito um documentário interessante) que surgiu quando, em 2005, o produtor ouviu o um certo cantor de ruas de Santa Mônica, CALIFÓRNIA, chamado Roger Ridley cantando “Stand By Me”.
A equipe gravou a deliciosa voz de Ridley e a enviou a vários músicos ao redor do globo, que deram sua contribuição (tocando seus instrumentos ou fazendo backing vocals) pra tornar ainda mais linda a canção.
Após o excelente resultado, surgiu um movimento multimídia chamado “Movimento Global Pela Paz E Compreensão”, que pretende conectar o mundo através da música.
O Playing for Change conquistou meu coração!

Do you prefer strae burnt as my monothematic? I don't think so. Well, at least be happy for me, because, finally, I can breathe the fresh air because it's raining again, which decreases the spread of the smoke from the sugar cane straw burning (and the babies sugar cane are, basically, just growing in the field).
So, I saw Ze Frank's talk ("Ze Frank's web playroom" - http://www.ted.com/talks/ze_frank_s_web_playroom.html).
One may say he is some kind of an agitator in the virtual world, creating projects opened to the contribution of all the cyber-space's users.
At his lecture, Ze Frank talks about how we get immersed in the virtual world, experiencing it (not paying attentinon to anything else but the message on the phone, to which we smille at). Yeah, that's where he've got me.
He also said that what we really want is just to "feel and be felt." For him, people seek connection with others, although this is not really easy to achieve. This connection often take place in virtual environments, as he demonstrates at the various projects that he presents to the audience.
The last one was a song created to justify the a virtual coral formed by the voices of the volunteers of one of his freak projects. If that makes someone feel better, fine, continue doing it forever. It may be cute, but does not seems to be very effective.
At least for me, it works much better another type of project, like the incredible "PLAYING FOR CHANGE - Connecting the world through music".
This is a musical project (about which was been made an interesting documentary) that arose when, in 2005, it's producer heard a certain singer from the streets of Santa Monica, CA, named Roger Ridley singing "Stand By Me."
The team recorded the delightful voice of Ridley and sent it to various musicians around the globe and they gave their contribution (playing their drums or doing backup vocals) to make the song even more beautiful.
Encouraged by the result, they've created a multimedia movement called "Global Movement for Peace and Understanding" that aims to connect the world through music.
The Playing for Change totally won my heart!
